Drugs & Nazi's

When I was younger I entertained myself by looking up exciting things that happened on my birthday, or people I shared it with.  So of course it was one of the first things I did while in the hospital after Harper was born.

Even before she was born, but we knew she would be coming in the next 24 hours, I thought about the dates she could be born on.  Either April 20th, or April 21st.  Most dates probably don't have a numerical meaning, but 420 is the first one that would pop into my head if asked if I knew any.

Though I'm sure it doesn't really matter, but 4/20 wasn't exactly my first choice for having my baby girl born on.  (I've actually talked to a lot of people who don't realize that 420 has any meaning at all, & I can't even imagine how, or where I learned it from.  But if you don't know I'm sorry that I was the one to corrupt you)

I tried my hardest not to have her on the 20th, but of course her heart rate, and mine both dropped, & they had to pull her out asap. She came 5 minutes to early.  She ended up being born on April 20th at 11:55pm!  Seriously?!  The nurses said I could just say she was born on the 21st if I wanted, but I couldn't lie about her birthday like that.  So forever her birthday will be celebrated with the hippies, & stoners for their marijuana appriciation day.

Then after researching who she shared her birthday with, lots of people came up, but the most well known of all them was founder & leader of the Nazi party, Adolf Hitler.  Seriously?  Drugs & Nazi's?  I've been told by my advisors not to tell her who she shares her special day with.  & I think 'why the heck not?!'. He may not be the nicest person in history, but is it really going to traumatize her when she finds out?  & if infact it is going to traumatize her wouldn't I rather be the one to tell her, than have her find out on her own? Because I know some day she'll look up who else has her birthday.

I don'tthink she'll be traumatized. You could always let her observe the 21st as her birthday if she wants. It was so close!
